AN American soldier has died in a horror plunge from a hotel rooftop in Greece.

The man, 30, was in the town of Chania, in the popular island of Crete, for “official reasons” reports say.

It is understood the US trooper fell to his death around 5am on Saturday.

Local authorities have been informed about the incident and are investigating it.
