Former US President Donald Trump was exposed to an embarrassing situation when he began swaying while giving a speech to a rally of his supporters in Minnesota, but he saved the situation by joking amid the audience's laughter.
In detail, Trump faced problems on the podium while speaking to his supporters at the Republican Party's annual Lincoln-Reagan dinner in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The video showed Trump (78 years old) stumbling forward and grabbing the stage to steady himself, but he managed to maintain his composure before speaking about the quality of the platform’s structure, as he joked with the audience: “This is the worst stage. Who built this stage?”
Trump began to return the flimsy platform to its place, adding: “This damned place is collapsing,” which sparked a wave of guffaws and laughter throughout the hall.
Trump not only mocked the platform, but rather used it to deliver a political message, saying: “I noticed that he continues to lean to the left, like many other things,” referring to the leftist tendencies of some Americans currently. The comment caused an uproar and laughter, before Trump continued: “ What a bad contractor who prepared this place.”
However, the incident did not pass without supporters of current President Joe Biden commenting, describing Trump as “weak” after he was exposed to embarrassing shaking at a rally in Minnesota.
“A weak Trump nearly fell on stage after leaning too hard on his podium, then let loose an angry rant, calling his event staff bad,” a post from Biden-Harris headquarters said.
The ages and abilities of both Biden (81) and Trump have been called into question during the election cycle; Both suffered embarrassing gaffes that their teams sought to blame on old age.
A shocking poll released earlier this year showed that 60% of Americans do not believe that Trump or Biden has the mental capacity necessary to serve as president.
