ABSURD footage has emerged appearing to show a farmer taking on a congregation of crocs with a shovel – and scaring them all off.

The killer reptiles are seen laying on the edge of a body of water before they are charged at by the shovel-wielding daredevil.

They scurry off one by one, speeding away from the blade into the safety of the water as the thrillseeking croc farmer tears on.

A stubborn beast is then seen holding its ground in defiance.

The prehistoric reptile‘s jaws open up as it shows off its razor sharp teeth.

But rather than being deterred, the shovel wielder simply smacks it in the head.

It causes the croc to also crawl off into the water, following the others in a mad dash.

It raised speculation over whether most of the crocodiles had been hit in the head before, teaching them to run away when they see the shovel.

Responding to footage on X, one user said: “If they are getting bashed on the head, then its more than likely!”

While another added: “They are clearly trained from a small age to run when they see the shovel or they get punished with the shovel.

“After severe punishment with the use of the shovel they will automatically respond by running when they see it.”

The vision appears to be from a crocodile farm, although it’s unclear where.

Separate footage posted to TikTok by an account called Mr Crocodile also shows a farmer moving crocs around by using a shovel.

He explained the logic behind brandishing the blade, saying it helps breeders reach more sensitive parts of the reptiles to make them move.

A captioned TikTok said: “Parts of the crocodile are protected by thick armour, (but) the nose and abdomen are soft without thick armour.

“There is no better tool for a breeder than a shovel.”

The account is full of crazy footage of the croc farmers getting up close and personal with the predators.

It also shows crocs feeding on live birds.

The account attracted huge amounts of fanfare with over 777,000 followers, although hasn’t posted since January 2023.

Video showing the shovel-wielder scaring off the crocs comes a week after incredible footage emerged of the fearsome beasts on the green of a golf course.

Skukuza Golf Club, located in the famous Kruger National Park, hosted a scene of wildlife anarchy as an antelope was eaten alive – first by lions – before a fierce battle for its protein.

Greenkeeper Jean Rossouw, 33, said: “There was suddenly a huge snarling and commotion as the two lionesses came from nowhere and took the impala right in front of our diners.”

But as the hungry lionesses teared away at the impala, the pandemonium attracted the attention of more frightening visitors.

A pack of four hyenas soon emerged in a bid to pick up some scraps.

The lionesses were barely bothered – until a huge crocodile suddenly stormed onto the green to snap into the meat.

Jean said: “They (the lionesses) began tearing it (the impala) apart and eating it and attracted by the noise quickly came four hyenas who wanted to gate-crash supper.

“And that attracted the attention of a very large crocodile.

“We had about 25 golfers and guests who had stopped over to eat at our new The Grill Room but they were more interested in the impromptu feeding on the 18th hole than their dinner!

“The lionesses got tucked into the impala and were not bothered by the attentions of the four hungry hyenas but when a 12 foot crocodile emerged that was a different ball game.”
