THIS is the bizarre moment a Ukrainian bloke is caught trying to flee across the border disguised as his sister to avoid being deployed on the frontlines.
The muscular 44-year-old man, now forever dubbed a draft dodger, attempted to escape by donning a dodgy wig, make-up and a skirt as he tried to use his sibling’s passport to con officials.

Along with the skirt and wig the man is also in a green unbuttoned polo shirt, an odd shaped white hat and a pair of shoes.
In the strange video, the conman is made to speak to police as he gives up the womanly persona and simply uses his deep gravelly voice.
The footage was obtained from Ukraine’s State Border Service on May 6, moments after the failed attempt to use his sister’s passport.
Armed with his sister’s passport, an unpretentious ‘fashion bow’, makeup and a wig, the man came to Transcarpathia to try to illegally cross the Ukrainian-Romanian border
Ukraine's State Border ServiceThey said in a statement: “A 44-year-old resident of Zolotonosha, disguised as a woman, was detained this morning by border guards of the ‘Predator’ branch of the Mukachevo detachment near the border with Romania.
“‘Armed with his sister’s passport, an unpretentious ‘fashion bow’, makeup and a wig, the man came to Transcarpathia to try to illegally cross the Ukrainian-Romanian border.
“The disguise manoeuvre was easily exposed as soon as the man entered the border crossing.
“However, he tried hard to pull it off, claiming he was a citizen of Ukraine and he even provided his passport for verification.”
Despite the hilarity of the situation, trying to avoid being called up for military duty is illegal hence why the man’s runaway plans were swiftly thwarted.
Ukraine’s State Border Service added that the unusual case has now been sent to court for the “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine”.
While it hasn’t been confirmed the man was trying to escape conscription, Ukraine did bring in martial law at the beginning of Russia‘s full-scale invasion over two years ago.
The law saw men aged 18 to 60 banned from travelling abroad without special permission in case the military needs to call on them.
A rolling mobilisation of civilians into the armed forces was also set in motion to fight back against Putin’s horror invasion.
Ukraine’s troops have provided a fierce foe for Putin so far as they refuse to let the tyrant make up any ground in the blitzed regions.
Despite this Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been calling for assistance from his friends in Nato including the UK, US and France.
Russia has outnumbered Ukraine in almost every military department from the start of the war and as the number of troops and weapons continue to dwindle Ukraine fear they could be in trouble.
This has prompted multi-billion pound funding for artillery, machinery and serious weaponry from Rishi Sunak and other allies.
But also a brave statement of support from French President Emmanuel Macron who declared he will send his countries brave troops to Ukraine if Putin breaks through the frontline.
When Macron was asked about sending across troops he said: “I’m not ruling anything out, because we are facing someone who is not ruling anything out.
“If Russia decided to go further, we will in any case all have to ask ourselves this question.”
Macron said he hopes his comments will act as a “strategic wake-up call for my counterparts” as he dubbed Russia “a power of regional destabilisation”.
