"We are preparing for a long war" "Al-Houthi" threatens to respond to Israel and strike its vital targets

The Houthi group in Yemen vowed, on Saturday, to respond to the "blatant Israeli aggression" on the Hodeidah Governorate and its port, stressing that it "will not hesitate to strike the enemy's vital targets."

The group's spokesman, Yahya Saree, said in a press conference that "the Israeli enemy launched a brutal aggression on the Hodeidah Governorate, targeting the power station that supplies the city with several raids, as well as the port and fuel tanks, all of which are civilian targets."

Saree pledged to "respond to this aggression," reiterating what was stated in his group's earlier statement about "considering the occupied Jaffa (Tel Aviv) area unsafe," and he stressed that the Houthi group "will not stop its operations supporting our brothers in Gaza, whatever the repercussions."

He pointed out that his group "is preparing for a long war with this enemy, until the aggression stops, the siege is lifted, and all its crimes committed against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip are stopped."

Earlier on Saturday, the Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah satellite channel announced that there were deaths and injuries (their number was not specified) as a result of Israeli raids on oil tanks in the port of Al-Hodeidah Governorate and a power station in the same governorate.

Al Masirah TV showed images showing massive explosions and fires resulting from these raids. This is the first direct Israeli response to the Houthi attacks in recent times. The Ministry of Health of the Houthi government announced that 80 people were wounded in the initial toll of the Israeli raids on Hodeidah.
