At least 95 people were killed and more than 210 wounded in twin bombings in Kerman, Iran. The attack occurred during commemorations for the fourth anniversary of the killing of General Qassem Soleimani. The explosions near his gravesite targeted civilians and emergency responders. No group has claimed responsibility for the mass casualty bombings, which is the deadliest attack in Iran since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Previous targeted killings and sabotage attacks in Iran did not involve such large-scale bombings.
