MANY are used to seeing the sweet, smiley lad on the face of Kinder – but now the British boy is all grown up.
30-year-old Josh Bateson graced our Kinder chocolate boxes in 2005 up until recent.
Josh was the face of Kinder between 2005-2019[/caption] The influencer enjoys showing his life online to nearly 100k followers[/caption] Josh doesn’t shy away from his childhood fame[/caption]The child star appears to have continued a successful life since, staying relatively in the limelight.
Josh finished school and went on to impressively study politics and international relations at Loughborough University.
His Instagram account boasts a luxury lifestyle with trips across the world, yacht hols and even shopping at the ultra-rich designer Cartier.
The Kinder poster boy has continued his career in modelling and dabbles in influencing, boasting 94K Insta followers.
He doesn’t appear to shy away from his chocolate fame, as pics on the internet show him smiling next to the Kinder packaging with his face on.
The selfie from 2017 received thousands of likes and comments from Kinder choc fans.
One comment read: “Seriously is that you?”
Another said: “THE KINDER GUY”
And: “This is the kinder guy I’m shocked”
Many couldn’t believe how different Josh looks now, saying: “I dont believe it’s you”.
Despite his long-reigning appearance on the box, Josh was not the first Kinder face.
Günter Euringer began as the chocolate boy in 1973.
He was kept by Kinder for many years until he eventually grew out of the role.
Günter was often seen on packaging with long hair, short hair, ears or no ears – Kinder adapted his look as years went on, keeping with the modern trends.
But change came in 2005 when Josh took the crown as Kinder boy.
Kinder buyers were heartbroken by the change, launching a bizarre campaign called ‘Get rid of Kevin’ – despite his name being Josh.
But Josh stayed on the box until 2019.
