Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, who will participate in Germany in the European Cup for the sixth time in his career, is the all-time top scorer in the continental championship.
Ronaldo scored 14 goals in the European Cup in five different editions, and he can increase the number this summer.
The Portuguese international is ahead of retired Frenchman Michel Platini, who has nine goals, while the other Frenchman, Antoine Griezmann, who will participate in Euro 2024, has seven goals.
Ronaldo also holds the record for goals in finals and qualifiers, 45 goals, ahead of Sweden's Zlatan Ibrahimovic (25).
Ronaldo won the European Nations Cup once in his career, when Portugal won its first continental title in 2016 at the expense of France.
