Dermatologist, Gita Yadav, resorted to the “Tik Tok” application to urge people to clean the navel properly, and she said in a video clip: “Does a bad smell come from your belly button? Well, you could have a stone in the navel. Please clean it well.” .
According to WebMD, “Sometimes called an omphalolith or umbolith, navel stones are a condition in which substances, such as skin and hair oil, dead skin cells, and dirt, can accumulate and form a hard ball. The stone is usually dark in color and firm to the touch, and may resemble a large blackhead.” Size in the navel opening (like black pimples on the facial skin).”
Yadav said that if there is a bad smell, you need to "clean the navel with a Q-tip, or with soap and water every day while showering."
Dr. Ajayi Sutopo said that if you fail to clean your belly button properly, this “may lead to rashes and infections” as well.
He recommended: “A specific cleaning should be done, focusing on the belly button, once a week,” in addition to cleaning daily while showering.
