White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Biden is in the know of the things about the spending bill and the looming threat of a government shutdown. Biden spoke to Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries regarding the issue, Jean-Pierre said but asserted that it is Speaker Mike Jonhson's mess to fix. The Republicans created the mess for their millionaire friends, the White House press secretary said.
