In 2020 Alabama reverted to form as Jones lost to another dangerous rightwing ideologue in Tuberville (sans pedophilia predilection) by twenty points.

The Alabama Democratic Party on Wednesday hinted it would be open to Saban running for U.S. Senate under its banner.
“Nick Saban for US Senate. Save us from Tommy Tuberville one more time,” tweeted Alabama Political Reporter columnist Josh Moon.
