City Hunter was released on 25 April 2024, it is a live-action adaption of the anime, of the same name, just like the anime fans loved the movie as well and fans are waiting for part 2 of the movie.
Yet another beloved anime/manga coming to life on Netflix – anime fans would be over the moon about this creation!
This time, the adaptation is coming from the home of Japan in terms of live-action fun. For a long time, live-action adaptations of anime/manga stories haven’t been very popular or well-received and Netflix has been pretty guilty of that. Some of the examples include Cowboy Bebop and Death Note.
However, Netflix had seemingly struck gold with One Piece, which proved to be its worth – with a second version being warranted thanks to the debut season’s great success.
The success of One Piece has inspired Netflix to explore similar genres of adaptations again – and this time, they are taking another crack at Death Note with the creators of Stranger Things which sounds quite promising if you think about it.
Netflix’s subsequent adaptation is among Japan’s most popular and successful franchises – since its debut in the 1980s, fans have grown to love and follow the adventures of Ryo Saeba, a charismatic personality with a slightly perverted side who is working as a private detective in Tokyo.
City Hunter 2 Renewal Status

Currently, we can not say anything about the City Hunter 2 of the Netflix series, however, we can hope for the movie to be released next year.
