CIA Director William Burns said that Ukraine will lose significant territories in 2024 if it does not receive significant financial and military aid from the West.
The CIA director believes that additional funding from the United States will help the Kiev regime withstand the years 2024 and 2025, “regain the offensive initiative” and negotiate “from a position of great strength.”
Burns indicated in a hearing before the US Senate Special Committee on Intelligence that he had just returned from Ukraine.
He added: "Without significant assistance in the form of additional appropriations, it seems to me that a darker future awaits us there. Ukraine will likely lose some of its territory and, apparently, significant territory in 2024."
According to him, Ukraine is running out of ammunition, and the United States is running out of time to provide assistance.
William Burns believes it would be a "huge historical mistake" for Congress to refuse to approve aid to the Kiev regime.
He stated that thanks to American funds, Ukraine would have the opportunity to launch an attack and “carry out breakthrough strikes on Crimea.”
It is noteworthy that Congress, due to the rejection of the Republican majority in the House of Representatives, has not yet supported the request of President Joe Biden’s administration to provide 60 billion new dollars to the Kiev regime.
The US Congress did not approve the White House's request to provide new aid to Kiev. The administration says that the last package of military aid was delivered to Ukraine last December, and the previously agreed-upon allocations have expired.
