Wisconsin Fake Elector Falsely Claims They Were Tricked

Last week, the ten Wisconsin fake electors came clean and confessed that they were part of the scheme to overturn the 2020 election. However, that was in response to a civil lawsuit and it appears increasingly likely that they might be facing criminal charges at some point.

In an effort to get ahead of that and to do some damage control, one of the fake electors, Andrew Hitt, agreed to be interviewed by Matt Smith on the Wisconsin-based show UpFront. Unsurprisingly, the lies started to fly as soon as Hitt opened up his mouth.

Andrew Hitt: The things we agreed to, we just viewed as true. Joe Biden won this election. It's pretty clear now that we didn't know that there was this ulterior motive, this different plan. And it's clear now too that those documents were used on January 6th, to the least, at the very least, to help create the chaos of that day.

Matt Smith: Let's talk about that day itself. December 14th, it was three years ago this past week. In that moment, when you walked into that room, what did you and the other electors think you were doing?
