The victim, whose name was given as Sebastian J, was hit on Monday at 10.53am local time.

The Olympia Loop is the largest mobile roller coaster in the world and was in the south German city for the world’s largest folk festival.

In 2022, an employee was killed by the ride while it was in Vienna.

An investigation into that death found no technical defect and also the employee had been instructed about dangers beforehand.
