A DISGRACED Brit who filmed himself raping, torturing and murdering dozens of dogs has been seen crying in court.
Dubbed the “world’s worst animal abuser”, Adam Britton, 53, broke down as he was due to be sentenced with the twisted university researcher facing up to 249 years behind bars.

Raging protesters have called for the twisted dog rapist to be handed the death penalty with many lining up outside a Supreme Court with damming signs.
One local held up a sign that said: “Death penalty for Adam Britton.”
A second sign read: “Rapist, torturer, murderer.”
Inside, local pet owners and a member of his ex-wife’s family piled into the public gallery to watch his fate be decided.
Britton’s team told the court he had been affected by “paraphilia” throughout the two year period when his grim crimes took place.
Paraphilia is commonly defined as a condition where an individual experiences recurring or intense sexual fantasies to uncommon objects, places, situations, fantasies, behaviours or things.
People who face the sexual disorder are said to also have sexual feelings that involve inanimate objects, children or non-consenting adults.
When his condition was mentioned in court a glum looking Britton sniffled before he wiped away a tear from his face after a security guard handed him some tissues.
After his reaction the case was adjourned pending a further psychiatric report.
It is set to continue on August 8.
This is the second time his sentencing has been pushed back after his team requested time to investigate psychiatric reports in February.
At the hearing, chief Justice Grant, the Australian Supreme Court judge dealing with Britton’s case, excused security staff and cops from the courtroom in a rare move.
He said the disgusting details laid out in a summary of Britton’s crimes were “confronting and distressing” and that those forced to listen to them could have “adverse psychological reactions”.
The reports were made up from 30 sessions Britton had with a psychologist where he was remorseful over his actions.
Despite the execution calls, Australia abolished the death penalty in 1985.
He’s got to be punished so people don’t think that animals are something that can be exploited and abused
animal rights protesterThe senior researcher at Charles Darwin University is in line to spend the rest of his life behind bars with a possible maximum sentence of 249 years in jail.
He has been charged with eight counts of bestiality – which carry a maximum sentence of three years, four counts of possessing and transmitting child abuse material – a maximum of 10 years, and 37 counts of aggravated animal cruelty – a maximum of five years.
A third animal rights protester says despite feeling like just jail time isn’t sufficient for his abhorrent crimes the heavy punishment is needed.
They said: “He’s got to be punished so people don’t think that animals are something that can be exploited and abused.
“We realise [the death penalty] isn’t going to happen… but incarcerated forever would be my personal choice.”
Britton broke down during his hearing as his sick psychiatric condition was read out – leading to a security guard handing him some tissues.
The chilling case of Adam Britton
The former renowned animal specialist managed to get 42 dogs off of Gumtree Australia over two years before brutally assaulting many of them, court documents revealed.
Britton took the pets away from unsuspecting families who were unable to keep the dogs due to work or health related issues.
The Brit once even described watching young children cry as he walked away with their pets.
Animals were tortured, raped or killed at his home and a nearby property between 2020 and 2022 – including his own white Swiss Shepherds, Ursa and Bolt.
Britton used a shipping container on his remote property to inflict torture on the animals.
Who is Adam Britton?
THE sadistic 53-year-old rubbed shoulders with Sir David Attenborough and Prince Harry before he was arrested for his horrifying crimes in 2023.
He was a respected senior researcher at Charles Darwin University in Australia as well as a crocodile expert.
Britton was born in West Yorkshire and managed to get a degree in Zoology from the University of Leeds as well as a PhD from Bristol.
In 1996, he jetted off to Australia and set up a conservation site for wild crocodiles called Big Gecko.
Britton was married to a biologist and wildlife ranger named Erin but she appears to have dropped his surname online.
The dog killer led a double life as he carried out the abuse with there being no suggestion Erin knew anything about her husband’s crimes.
They both worked with the crocs and managed to sell footage of their beasts to places like the BBC and National Geographic.
Britton was a popular face in Australia and regularly used his social media to promote his business as well as show off his animals.
He posted the sick footage on Telegram to engage with like-minded abusers.
In one chilling message on the site, the ‘world’s worst animal abuser’ spoke about his urges to a stranger:
“I had repressed it. In the last few years, I let it out again, and now I can’t stop. I don’t want to.”
It was Britton’s sick online posting that saw him brought to justice, when an online sleuth noticed a distinctive collar on the dog in one of his videos – and contacted cops.
A month after the video was posted, police raided his Darwin home and arrested him.
Police seized 44 items including computers, phones, cameras, external hard drives, tools and weapons.
They also found over a dozen files of child abuse material on one of his laptops.
At the start of July, a fuming local spray-painted the words “dog killer” on the road outside the property.
