Thousands commented their guesses beneath the video, which ranged massively from six being equal to amounts three to nine.

Thankfully, the TikToker put viewers out of their misery and explained the answer.

They said the sequence followed a pattern of how many letters spelt out each number, meaning number six would be equal to three.

Broken down, the equation looks like this:

• 1(ONE) = 3
• 2(TWO) = 3
• 3(THREE) = 5
• 4(FOUR) = 4
• 5(FIVE) = 4
• 6(SIX) = 3
