A YOUTUBE chef has been sentenced to life in prison today for murdering his lover and dumping his remains on a Thai party island.
Daniel Sancho Bronchalo, 30, who hails from a famous Spanish acting family admitted to killing his boyfriend, Colombian plastic surgeon, Edwin Arrieta Arteaga, 44.

Last year, Thai police said the Spaniard confessed to killing Mr Arteaga after their feud over “sex and money” reached a breaking point.
Sancho claimed at his trial that the two got into a fight after Mr Arrieta allegedly tried to sexually assault him.
He also claimed that the doctor fell as the fight escalated and he toppled over so badly he hit his head on a bathtub, lost consciousness and died.
A court on the neighbouring island of Samui found Bronchalo guilty of cutting up his body and chucking his remains into the sea.
He allegedly cut his lover’s body into 14 separate pieces before he put them into a suitcase and scattered them in the water, after using a kayak to get into the water.
Body parts were also said to have been strewn around the island.
Police said Mr Arteaga’s body was found dismembered in a rubbish tip on the island.
Last year, Police Lieutenant General Surapong Thanomjit said: “The suspect has confessed to being the one who killed Edwin Arrieta Arteaga and dismembered the body.
“He put the parts in a suitcase and left them in the sea. He claimed that the victim was angry when he refused to sleep with him.
“Then he punched him in the head, causing him to fall over and hit the bathtub, so he cut the body to disguise the death.
“Investigators found traces of the victim’s body in the hotel room the suspect booked.”
The celebrity chef had reportedly filed a missing persons report for Edwin after the murder.
Sancho pleaded not guilty to premeditated murder.
He was first handed the death penalty but the Samui provincial court opted to hand him a life sentence instead citing his cooperation during the trial, according to local cop Paisan Sangthep.
Mr Sangthep added that Sancho initially received four months in prison for the charge of concealing or damaging a body but this was reduced to two months as he acknowledged the barbaric act.
Bronchalo is the son of famed Spanish actors Rodolfo Sancho Aguirre, 49, and Silvia Bronchalo, also 49, who attended Koh Samui Provincial Court where he was sentenced.
The case sent shockwaves through Spain and HBO has made a Spanish-language documentary based on the chilling events of last summer.
